Association Online Classes

Online classes can be helpful if you live a long way from in person classes or if it slipped through the cracks and you are in a hurry to meet your license renewal deadline.  Of course, some folks just prefer the format.  Regardless of the reason, the Association will keep at least one Continuing Education Online class posted for your benefit.  Our goal is to have two or three so you can go two or three years using the Association online format.  Code classes based in Arkansas by Arkansans will be immediate to the most recent interpretations of the IMC.  We trust that you will find them current and valuable.

    History & Updates

    This class views the history of the HVACR industry and well as how it developed in Arkansas.   It also addresses questions of code that became apparent in 2023.  Venting of dryers, bathrooms, and kitchens are new to our industry and the class presents the code as interpreted by the Arkansas Department of Health, HVACR Licening Board.  Drain  lines, plenums, dehumidfiers and duct testing are also addressed.  

     

    Duct Testing with AutoTest

    The Arkansas Energy Department and the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing have given their approval for dealer self certification of residential duct testing.  The Association provides duct training but now also requires that results be submitted via AutoTest, a free app supplied by the Energy Conservatory.  It uses time and date stamp and geotagging to assure the legitimacy of the report.  All new training will include AutoTest and previously certified Duct Test Verifiers will be requied to complete AutoTest continuing ed to maintain their certification.  This class makes it easy to comply with the new requirement.
